Morgan Alley Elected to Bay Trust Company Board of Directors

Bay Trust Company Chairman of the Board Robert C. Berry, Jr. and President and CEO Francis A. Burke announce that Morgan W. Alley has been elected to Bay Trust Company’s Board of Directors.

Burke stated, “I have known Morgan for quite some time and feel very fortunate to have him join our Bay Banks’ family. In meeting the needs of our customers, Bank of Lancaster and Bay Trust Company seek to have on its Board of Directors broad representation from the communities we are privileged to serve. Morgan will help us to serve them better as he brings a great deal of legal expertise and practical investment knowledge to our Board.”

Alley, a resident of Lancaster County, is a Partner with Dunton, Simmons & Dunton, L.L.P. Alley practices in the fields of Trusts and Estates, Corporate Law and Taxation with primary focus in the areas of Trust and Estate Administration. He is also a Virginia Registered Investment Advisor.

Alley graduated Summa Cum Laude from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Sociology. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Washington & Lee University School of Law with his Juris Doctor degree in 1996 and was named to the Order of the Coif.

Active in the community, Alley currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Northern Neck Montessori School and as its Treasurer. He is a past member of Bay Trust Company’s Advisory Board, the Board of Directors of the Rappahannock General Hospital Foundation, the Board of Directors of the Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce, and the Kilmarnock United Methodist Church Board of Trustees, in which he served as Chairman.

Alley and his wife, Janie, reside in White Stone. They have one child, Alexis, age 6.

Both Berry and Burke stated the Board, management, and staff of Bay Trust Company are pleased to have Alley as a part of the Bay Trust family. Burke stated, “Morgan’s outstanding educational achievements, experience and personal community accomplishments make him an enormous asset to our organization. He is joining our already outstanding Board members throughout the Northern Neck - Kenneth O. Bransford, Jr., Douglas E. Flemer, Randal R. Greene, Robert F. Hurliman, and John H. Morris, IV. We are thankful for the excellent leadership they provide to Bay Trust Company. “
